BILD: Mister Marin, your transfer to FC Chelsea isn’t only a surprising, it has also been known very early. Why?

Marin: The talks began in January. Since April all sides - Werder, Chelsea and I - were agreed, there was no reason not to give the change already known.

BILD: You have signed for five years. Why such a long period of time?

Marin: This was Chelsea’s condition, it’s not so bad for me. It shows the confidence of the club.

BILD: You talked with Roberto Di Matteo. Whether he is a coach in the summer is still an open question. A risk for you?

Marin: The decision hasn’t in fact.The results shows that he does make a good job. It would be great for me if he stays. He speaks German and knows my strengths.

Marin: I must prove myself anyway. I don’t see a risk. Among the club managers were only positive things, they give me confidence. That is what counts.

BILD: Are you used in London on your right position unlike last in Bremen?

Marin: Chelsea usually plays a 4-1-4-1 system. I’m scheduled for the outside position in the midfield or as a hanging point.
